Hi, I’m Andrea Martins,

Welcome to My Imaginary World!

For a long time, I was trying to fit into versions of myself that no longer felt true. Trying to be who the world expected me to be.

Until one day, while finishing my first book, I realized something unexpected: by writing my story, I was rewriting my life and slowly finding my way back to myself.

Back to the little girl who had been telling stories since she was five years old.

Stories have always been my way of understanding the world and myself, whether through telling stories, listening to them, writing, watching movies, or simply having conversations and connecting with others. I became fascinated by the stories people carry, the identities they build, and the invisible narratives that shape the way we live.

My career began in New York City, creating and producing advertising and content for markets across the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Over the years, my path evolved from the commercial world into projects centered on  human connection, identity, healing, and social impact.

I studied Communications at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), Creative Writing and Screenwriting at New York University, and Story Making with James Bonnet in France. I'm currently part of the Writers' Program at UCLA.

As a line producer, I worked on Yoga: Arquitetura da Paz for Netflix. I also played an important role in story development and served as executive producer of She’s Not Coming Back, a documentary currently in post-production. I’m now involved in the development and fundraising of Love Is the New Drug?, a new documentary.

Today, based in Los Angeles, I'm preparing to launch my debut novel, The Day I Forgot Myself, a story about a woman who must unlearn the stories she inherited in order to remember who she is.

I also work as Head of Story & IP Development at Boo Publishing, helping identify and develop stories with potential for film, television, streaming, and multiplatform adaptation.

More than anything, I believe storytelling can  connect, awaken, heal and transform.

And that's why I created this space here for us.

Stay tuned to your heart 🤍
